Abstract
ABSTRACT In today's life, people are required with various kinds of needs that make life a burden in living their lives. To be able to fulfill daily life, humans are required to work. From this work, humans will get a salary or wages. Without a salary, it is possible that the company's operating activities will stop because there is no reciprocity for the services they perform in the company. This study aims to identify and analyze the internal control system of payroll and wages with components in COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organization of the Treadway Commission) at PT. Manito World Sukabumi has been appropriate and running well and effective or not. This research is important to do to assist companies in understanding and evaluating the internal control of the payment and wage system that has been implemented. This type of research uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used were interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that the internal control over the payment and wages system implemented by PT. Manito World has complied with internal control standards according to COSO and has been running well but less effective, due to the lack of direct supervision of the payment of salaries paid in cash for new employees whose distribution is through the respective Administration Keywords: COSO, Analysis, Internal Control, Payroll and Wage System
