Abstract

the success of the world of education cannot be separated from the role of teachers and students. if learning is not successful, the teachers is often blamed. it is not justified. the cause of teachers inappropriate communication style is one of the factors of the unsuccessful learning process. the teacher`s communication style during learning affects student`s learning motivation when is the classroom. the purpose of this study is to determine the teacher`s communication style in class XI superior at SMAN 1 cicurug Sukabumi and to determine whether the communication style in teaching affects the learning motivation of student`s in class XI superior at SMAN 1 cicurug Sukabumi. This study uses a quantitative method by distributing questionnaires to 40 top-class XI student`s and using simple regressions analysis. The result indicate that expressiveness was.369, preciseness 3.85, verbal aggressiveness 1.73, questionings 3.43 emotionality 3.08, and impression manipulativeness 3.28. The conclusion that can he drawn from this study is that students prefer the teacher`s communication style and do not like aggressive verbal when learning in class. Students learning invitation from needs where students need to learn according to their need
